A Mothers Love | The creator of this piece says: The inspiration for these piece is my mother who sadly passed away at the beginning of this year (2006). I utilized a puffed sterling silver heart as the focal to represent my love for mom. Swarovski crystals in ruby which is my mothers birthstone and the creamy beige pearls which were my mother's which I have memories of playing with as a little girl. | Aurora borealis Swarovski bicone crystals where also used because when my mom smiled her eyes sparkled. When I wear this piece it is long enough where I can hold the heart in my hand and give thanks for being so blessed as to have had a wonderful mother that so profoundly enriched my life. |
About the Artist: Catherine JackmanI have always loved jewelry, and had such admiration for other peoples creativeness. When my mom fell ill I needed something to help me focus and give me peace of mind. So I tried my hand at beaded jewelry and fell in love with it. It would be wonderful in the near future to try different mediums, say making precious metal clay beads and pendants and try some classes in fused glass work.
