Aqua Circles

Aqua CirclesThe creator of this piece says: I used silver tigertail and crimp beads to connect the circles to each other. The exposed tigertail is covered in long bugle beads, faux pearls & silver spacers. A lobster clasp is attached to the back. The middle piece is made up of a beaded hairpin. The one side is threaded onto the main piece and a huge silver heart is connected to the other end. This helps keep the shape.

About the Artist: Roelien

I started Unik Jewelery and handcrafts in 2007. I am a naturally creative person and do graphic design & editing for a local video production company in the mornings. I needed to expand on my creativity base and also had to keep my hands busy when I quit smoking. All the extra energy and creativity just flowed and led to the start of a new venture for me. It was after trying various arts & craft projects that I settled on jewellery making and beading as I found it to be the most stimulating.

I find inspiration in magazines, the internet, TV and in my surroundings. If I see something different I try to make something similar and new ideas flow from there!

The concept behind Unik is to stay unique & exclusive. Each item is handmade by myself and only one-of-a kind is made. I can make them similar, but always use different beads and colours! I also design according to your needs!

I have a studio at my home in Gonubie in the Eastern Cape . I offer bead classes in the afternoons. I do all my own packaging & graphic design. I love to personalize my items!
