Longevity Jade Pendant Necklace & Earrings | The creator of this piece says: I was inspired by the "longevity symbol" jade pendant bead and added accent silver chain links and purple crystal beads to drape from the pendant piece to create a contemporary feel. Then I used beading wire and threaded rectangular sunstone beads, marble, tumbled green aventurine stones and sterling silver accent bead caps to create this 18" long necklace. The toggle clasp is sterling silver in a bali-accent design. For the earrings I selected two similar sized tumbled aventurine stones and made them into drop earrings with silver accents. |
About the Artist: Maria Carpio JohnsonI started in 2005 making jewelry for myself as well as gifts for family and friends. I work with sterling silver, gold vermeil, beading cords and wires, even knitting yarns to create necklaces, bracelets and earrings using semi-precious stones, pearls and silver beads findings. I also enjoy combing through antique malls to discover special antique jewelry pieces that I can use to regenerate new ideas and designs.
