Memories Bracelet | The creator of this piece says: This 36 inch bracelet, strung on memory wire, is made with mother of pearl beads, Swarovski round and AB crystal bicone beads and Swarovski fireballs.
A friend's deeply cut in halter top wedding gown inspired me to make this. She wrapped it around her upper arm.
The ends of the memory wire can be finished by gluing on an end bead (half drilled) or making a loop or coil with your round nose pliers by grabbing the end of the wire and twisting. Consider what you are making--an end bead would be best for a toe ring but either might work for a bracelet. |
With large beads, a memory wire bracelet should be long enough to loop around the wrist at least 3 times.
One last tip, the end of the memory wire will stretch a bit if it is manipulated a lot. Start with an extra few inches of wire so you are able to cut some off if necessary. |
About the Artist: Kathy RutimanI started making jewelry about 7 years ago in response to a ever growing Christmas gift list. I had over 30 employees, mostly woman. Jewelry was usually likes by most and it was easy to wrap and transport.
After giving a friend her wedding jewelry as a gift, I discovered that I really liked making wedding jewelry and accessories just because the crystals and pearls are just so beautiful. My web site tends to lean slightly in that direction.
In addition, I've acquired an autoimmune disease and, with the progressively worsening symptoms, I had to retire early. Making jewelry keeps me sane. View Kathy Rutiman's website at Body Rocks - Handmade Crystal and Pearl Jewelry. Other Pieces by this Artist
