Swirly Zigzag Pendant
In my jewelry creations, I like to mainly use wire, as I love creating different styles, colors and textures with it. In this piece I used 16 gauge silver plated wire. I shaped it in a swirl and zigzag shape, then started hammering it to give it a different texture. After that I started attaching […]
Apple Pendant
I started this piece by shaping a piece of 16 gauge silver plated wire into an S-shape; then I started hammering it, creating a different texture. I then used two pieces of wire by twisting them together, then wrapping them around the S-shape wire. At last I started attaching the leaf shaped charms and a […]
Contemporary Earring
In my jewelry pieces I focus mainly on contemporary styles, so in this piece I tried to give it a modern, different look than the traditional earring. This piece was constructed from silver plated 16 gauge wire giving it a random, trendy shape, then attaching a 10mm purple rondelle bead at the end of the […]
Sodalite Swirl Earrings
To create these earrings I shaped 18 gauge wire into a swirl. Then I hammered the silver to give texture. Then I used a headpin to attach sodalite nugget beads. I attached a closed jump ring to the swirl & used a sterling fishhook earring finding. Sodalite is the stone of endurance.
Crocheted Wire and Pearl Bracelet
For this piece I crocheted 28 gauge non-tarnish silver Artistic Wire with keshi pearls around the edges. I love the challenge of turning a hard material such as wire into soft and feminine pieces, as it is so unexpected. When I see people put them on and be amazed at how soft and touchable they […]
Copper Patina Earrings
To create these earrings I started with a sheet of copper. I cut out 2 circles, textured them and used a doming block to give a nice shape. I used a hole punch to create a hole for the wire to go through. The patina is created from ammonia and vinegar. I used 20 gauge […]
Twisted Wire Turquoise Bracelet
I started with two pieces of 24 gauge silver plated wire and twisted them together. At various intervals I strung pearls and turquoise gemstones on one wire strand and twisted the other wire around them. I repeated this technique to create 5 strands, and then I tangled the strands together in a random way.
Pink Daisies Jump Ring Anklet
I created this piece a few months ago, but it was only half-finished. I knew I wanted to make an anklet from the daisy chainmail weave. It’s just so beautiful that I knew it would look great on an ankle. After using my 16 gauge sterling silver, I got the basic length of the anklet, […]
Freeform Wire Earrings
I love the physicality of working with wire; bending, coiling, twisting, making it do what I want it to do, and I made these earrings using 24 gauge Artistic Wire (permanently colored copper wire) in aqua and lemon hand coiled on a narrow mandrel. I made the headpin by making three tiny coils on one […]
Cloud Of Fortune Crystal Pendant Necklace
“Cloud of Fortune” or xiang yun, refers to beautiful, auspicious clouds, used especially in describing the skies accompanying appearances of Buddha. I used 18 gauge sterling silver wire hammered flat to form a frame in the shape of a cloud. Swarovski crystals (3mm) in sapphire and light blue are threaded with sterling silver wires inside […]
Peacock Stone Swirl Earrings
Using a thing-a-ma-jig I formed the earwires out of 18 gauge copper wire and filed the ends to make them smooth. I used the same 18 gauge wire through the 18mm square peacock stone to make the circle on the top and the swirl on the bottom. I bent the circle over the stone after […]
Bracelet Woven With Pearls
This is a cuff style bracelet that was woven with silver plated wire and white glass pearls. First, I created a 20 gauge wire frame. Next, I wove in 3 sizes of glass pearls to create an impression of texture. A hook and eye closure finishes the piece. The look is gorgeous and opulent.
I Love You Red Coral Drop Earrings
My “I love you” earrings are inspired by love. A great pair of earrings made of natural coral quartz briolettes, wire wrapped in sterling silver. To make these, first gather two gemstone beads, some sterling silver 20 gauge dead soft wire, and two ear wires. Next, make a loop in the wire and start wrapping […]
Washer Necklace
To create my “washer” necklace, I took two washers commonly found at your local hardware store. I used 2 different sizes, and hammered them to give them texture. I then attached them to an olive green suede cord. I added a few additional beads, and then attached a toggle clasp using 18 gauge wire.
Green Glass Wire Wrapped Bracelet With Swarovski Crystals
I used these pretty green glass floral beads to complete this bracelet. I used copper wire for wrapping to bring out the brilliance of the green beads. I attached Swarovski crystals in 6 and 4mm size to head pins to form dangles. The clasp is made of 16 gauge copper and has been hammered. I […]
Purple Swirl Wire Necklace
This piece started out as three hand-made lamp work beads. I had no idea what to do with them for over a month. One day I decided I was going to make something with them if it killed me. I had wanted to try a woven bail treatment and I thought this would be the […]
Wire and Button Necklace
I made this necklace and bracelet set using silver buttons and 18 gauge silver wire. I put one end of the wire through the hole of the button & formed it into a spiral. Then I bent it flat against the button. Then I made a spiral with the remaining wire. I repeated the process […]
Neverland Bracelet
The unique focal bead was the inspiration for this bracelet. I made a double eye-pin out of 18 gauge wire and attached it to two separate lengths of gold chain. I wanted to make the charms out of interesting beads I had in my collection, and I also wanted those beads to bring out the […]
Faceted Crystal And Pearls Necklace
This is a very simple piece. Faceted flat top tear drop clear crystals are teamed up here with tiny fresh water pearls wrapped in sterling silver. The chain and clasp are sterling silver. The ‘pendant’ focal was strung onto a 22gauge sterling silver wire and attached to the sterling silver chain with jump rings.
Sunset Crocheted Wire Necklace
This necklace was crocheted with 26 gauge colored copper wire and dyed glass chips. I love color and that is always my inspiration.
