Inspired by a midnight vision of waterfalls falling off of cliffs, this necklace was made with freshwater pearls, sea-green aventurine chips, gold and silver mussel-shell coins, mother-of-pearl cube beads, dark shell beads and a sprinkle of aqua semi-precious gemstone beads to accent. It measures 17″ around and has a toggle clasp. I used two strands […]
The inspiration for this necklace was the unique focal piece. Wanting to create a necklace that was worthy of it, I added green and white glass pearls, gold spacers and jade gemstones to round this out to a bright and eye-catching necklace. Learn how to make this necklace.
This is a beautiful necklace and very simple to design. To make this necklace I took various kinds of beads mixes like glass beads, shells, uncuts, semi-precious, handmade marble glass beads, 4mm glass beads, 11/0 seed beads, bugle beads and some glass flowers. I made two strings of uncut chips, each separated by two black […]
This piece is a 18 inch choker with two strands closely intertwined. The first strand has tiger’s eye stones and picture jasper beads with the second strand of gold colored seed beads wrapped around the picture jasper beads. Brown glass and copper-tinted spacers are mixed in with the other beads to complete the piece. All […]
This was my very first attempt at hand knotting beads. I was so nervous but had to try it. I loved the beautiful contrast that the color salmon has against turquoise. So, with this piece, I hand knotted polished round volcano cherry quartz agate & a stabilized oval turquoise bead on white nylon/silk thread for […]
This necklace was inspired by the Suge Avery character from the movie, “The Color Purple”. It is made up of several layers of deeply etched brass tubes which reflect the troubled layers her character possessed. The faceted crystal stones, potato pearls, mother of pearl shell beads and amethyst chips creates a halo that enhances the […]
My love for all things royal and majestic is never ending. When I receive a handmade pendant, something just runs through me and the feeling is heightened even more when I find the complimenting beads to uplift the pendant. The Krishna necklace is constructed on softflex wire for flexibility. I wanted something that would add […]
This necklace consists of Swarovski crystals and pearls, Czech glass and very unique focal beads. Tiger tail wire was used to string the beads. I have also used antique gold bead caps to accentuate some of the glass beads. The necklace has an antique gold J clasp with a baroque style. The Swarovski crystal colors […]
This exquisite piece is the essence of summer. Warm, glittery and soft. It consists of four strands of bronze Swarovski pearls, golden shadow Swarovski crystals, cattlehead beige shell and taupe cat’s eye with a touch of brown bugle beads. Necklace is 18″ with 1″ sterling silver chain extender. Sterling silver hook clasp.
I love anything Egyptian. Some of the pieces I design will have a hint or full inspiration of this beautiful civilization. This bib-style necklace took just a little time to make as I did the measurements freehand. I wanted it to lay gradually with the focal point being the etched brass pendants with matte gold […]
I consider simple necklaces very beautiful. When I made this one I used a combination of dark blue semi-precious sodalite and golden Czech crystal glass beads. The colors remind me of a night sky with golden stars. I made the pendant by wrapping sterling silver wire and a few beads around the main sodalite bead. […]
Created with rose quartz, pink czech glass, pink and gold lampwork, crystal, gold and a stunning circular strawberry quartz pendant. The necklace measures 16 and one half inches and the pendant is 1 and one half inches in diameter. I used a gold toggle clasp to finish it.
The pendant was the inspiration for this piece. It’s a Hawaiian Maile leaf (from my home state), dipped in gold. My husband wore a fragrant Maile leaf lei in our wedding, so Maile leaves have sentimental value for me. The rest of the necklace is comprised of green glass leaves, and other green glass beads […]
I love being able to use up leftover beads to create a beautiful eclectic piece. I used gold beading wire to string green agate chips, green glass beads of different shapes and sizes, clear Swarovski bicones, and green metallic seed beads. This is one of my favorite brass clasps, so I had to have it […]
The materials I used were small black beads and medium sized gold coated beads. I made it because a client needed a black and golden colored necklace for a party. I strung the necklace and made a knot for the pendant and butterfly like earrings. I just love the colour combination.
This necklace was designed with 7-8mm antiqued golden copper freshwater cultured pearls. I separated each pearl with small clear glass seed beads. Chrysolite Swarovski Austrian crystals and sterling silver beads are also used to design this necklace. The large pendant measures 2″x2″ and features colors of frosted amber/copper with hints of green. I finished this […]
This necklace has a silver toggle that goes in front. Whenever I see someone wearing a necklace of this style, I always love the way it looks. This one consists of 4 mm terra cotta beads, turquoise stones, teal-colored “E” beads, short bugle beads in white, and silver wire coils I shaped with round-nose pliers. […]
