Bead Tips & Knot Covers

Bead tips are small metal findings that are used to cover knots at the ends of jewelry made with thread, and to attach metal clasps. They look like a clamshell and also sometimes called knot covers or callottes. To use bead tips, you will need jewelry pliers to bring the two halves together so they enclose the knot, and to attach a jump ring or clasp. A bit of beading glue on the knot also helps keep it secure. Also see cord tips.
