Charoite as a Gemstone
Charoite is striking purple stone found only in a small area of Siberia in Russia near the Chara River, which it was named after. It is a silicate mineral and was discovered in the 1940s. It is also sometimes called cherolite.
It ranges in shade from purple to lavender and has swirly patterns that can include white and black that are reminiscent of a Van Gogh painting.
