Beading Thread

Beading thread is made of nylon and is sized ranging from size 00 (thinnest) to A(0), B, C etc up to G being the thickest. Size D is good for lightweight beads, E-F for medium weight and F-G for heavy weight. Waxed thread slides more easily through beads and is less likely to fray and thus less likely to break. You can buy your own beeswax, although it's usually much less hassle to buy it already waxed. Silk thread can be used as an alternative to nylon, but it is more delicate & less durable. Silkon is a synthetic alternative to silk, being made of nylon but attempting to replicate the drape & vivid colors of silk. Learn more about thread and don't forget to pick up some beading needles.
