Gypsy Bracelet
Today I finished this freeform bead embroidery bracelet I named Gypsy. I really loved making it. I designed the cabochons myself and used different kind of materials like Swarovski stones, silk roses, Miyuki cubes, rocailles, drops, and lucite flowers. Kaleidescope Cuff is a celebration of colour, form and texture. I started off with a brass blank interior and covered this with pink Ultrasuede. I try to avoid using dressed leather as some people are allergic to the dressing. The Ultrasuede has been glued down with industrial strength glue and cut slightly larger than the cuff […]

Anatolian Wedding Necklace
In Anatolian tradition girls organize a party before getting married. It is traditional to sing very sad songs to make the bride cry before she leaves her family and goes to her husband. In this ceremony usually the bride wears 2 or 3 dresses and changes the jewellery. This is one of them.

Amethyst Embelished Bracelet
I created this bracelet using square stitch, flat black cubes embelished with amethyst seed beads and silver spiral spacers. The total length of this bracelet is 8″. The clasp is a dark button that matches with the seed beads.

Woodland Brooch
I started off with some Lacey’s Stiff Stuff as the bead embroidery foundation. I dyed it to a suitable shade of black. I had a beautiful African turquoise cabochon which I had stashed away, waiting for the right moment of creativity to spark. I sewed different semi precious stones around the cabochon, choosing muted tones that would […]

Little Bit Gypsy
About 3 years ago I made a bracelet “Gypsy” (also on Beadage), with the intention to make a necklace as well, because I really fell in love with this bracelet. And then…nothing, no inspiration. Then the contest “Best Dutch Beadworkartist 2014” came up. After finishing my contest necklace “Wild Flower” I felt like finishing that […]

White Rose Of Texas
I started by gluing the white resin rose to the leather, and then embroidered around it with white seed beads, crystals and pearls. I backed the creation with camel-colored leather. The necklace is strung with white beads of stone and resin as well as crystals of different sizes. It is about 20″ long.
