As I work with an open flame I felt it was appropriate to create a necklace celebrating my passion. In this necklace my handmade lampwork beads, gemstones, and Japanese seed beads are finger woven together with my forged sterling silver pieces suggesting the lick of the flame.

I have made this elegant piece with the method of finger weaving incorporating freshwater potato pearls, Japanese seedbeads and my focal lampwork bead. I was after a soft and feminine look which had a natural flow.

I enjoy working with a mixed media–this particular piece is an example of that. A woven waxed cord with 28 of my wire wrapped lampwork beads, each with a malachite bead on each pin.
