I am a full time lampworker and am totally engrossed in melting glass in an open flame. I've been making both beads and jewellery since 1997. Everything around me is an inspiration, and my head is constantly full of ideas!
As I work with an open flame I felt it was appropriate to create a necklace celebrating my passion. In this necklace my handmade lampwork beads, gemstones, and Japanese seed beads are finger woven together with my forged sterling silver pieces suggesting the lick of the flame.

I have made this elegant piece with the method of finger weaving incorporating freshwater potato pearls, Japanese seedbeads and my focal lampwork bead. I was after a soft and feminine look which had a natural flow.
