Anna Jamerson

I like nice things. I like people's creativity and I admire the risks many of them take.

I am from Slovakia and I moved to the USA in 1995. I live in Kensington, MD with my husband John and my son Ondrej.

I made my first necklace after I lost an earring that my future husband gave me. The one that I did not lose ended up on a little necklace I made for myself. Making beads became my hobby about 5 years ago, Everything I know I have taught myself and I still keep learning. I find beading very relaxing and soothing. Most of the time I bead early in the morning before everyone wakes up... just me, my beads and my cat watching. I donate some proceeds from all my jewelry to American Cancer Society to honor my sister in law who died from cancer.

Starry Night Beaded Necklace Project

On the longer part of this necklace I alternated the turquoise chips with glass seed beads. After several different trials I decided to use […]

Mix and Match Reversible Beaded Necklace Project

Mix and Match Reversible Beaded Necklace

I had a few larger beads and I did not know what to use them for (my necklaces are usually more delicate). One day the inspiration came in a store catalog–the idea of combining one strand of large beads and six strands of small beads. It is wearable top side down or up. It can […]

Mother Of Pearl Beaded Necklace Project

Mother Of Pearl Beaded Necklace

This three strand necklace is made from an old one that I bought when I traveled. I “recycled” the mother of pearl chips by combining them with some seed beads and this little necklace was born! I placed a unique hand made clay bead on the longest strand to give it some weight. The necklace […]
