The strands consist of copper-tone and magenta seed beads, turquoise beads, silver spacers, E-beads, and my favorite green triangular beads. I approached this necklace like I sometimes approach a quilt project–what “scraps” do I have sitting around?

The necklace consists of three strands of seed beads, E-beads, glass beads and silver coils I shaped with round-nose pliers. The earrings consist of the same elements, although the coils are much smaller.

When I saw a sample of stitching seed beads into the twisted rope called DNA, I had to try it. It’s pretty time-consuming, especially with small #11 seed beads. After many weeks of starting and stopping, this is the result. I added silver spacers, my favorite green triangular beads and a toggle clasp.
