Bead Stringing & Cord Projects
My grandmother had given me a wooden bead necklace that had crazy safari animals on it along with these cool wooden beads in green and black. I took it apart and began to play with the wooden disks. I had purchased the triangle of bloodstone about a year ago and it was waiting for a […]
An illusion necklace is much easier than it looks! The cord, sold on some beading websites, is called invisible cord or illusion cord. It is also sold as fishing line and the technical name is monofilament. I’ve seen it in black and a translucent white, so this necklace can be made for light and darker skin […]

The seed beads are foil lined dark brown and clear cream, the bugle beads are a […]
My favorite summer vacation destination is Hawaii. I just love the color of Hawaiian ocean and that is what I tried to capture with this necklace. For calm ocean, I used different sizes of mother of pearl flat shape beads with round shape one. I used opal round beads, roundelles and bicones as well as […]
To create my “washer” necklace, I took two washers commonly found at your local hardware store. I used 2 different sizes, and hammered them to give them texture. I then attached them to an olive green suede cord. I added a few additional beads, and then attached a toggle clasp using 18 gauge wire.
This necklace is made with a sage green jasper random faceted gemstone focal bead and finished with a couple of silver acrylic rounds mounted on silver plated wire. The ‘loops’ are created using foil lined green/grey seed beads mounted on clear nylon cord. It fastens in the back with a silver plated metal clasp and […]
This necklace is made with a hand crafted heart shaped lampwork glass bead (crafted in an artists studio in the UK, 2cm x 1.8cm) in shades of light and dark green, beige, cream and brown, some Czech clear green glass beads, some beige cats-eye hearts and some silver plated solid metal Bali-like beads to finish. […]
This longer length necklace set is made with lots of amber Czech pressed glass beads, some amber lampwork rounds and lots of silver coloured metal Bali-like beads to finish. The seed beads used are foil lined amber as are the bugle beads. All mounted on nylon cords and silver plated wire. Fastening to the back […]

The necklace includes dark wood round beads, Czech faceted smokey brown beads and some silver coloured metal Bali-like beads, bead caps and hanger to finish. The seed beads are clear dark brown and the bugle beads are metallic […]
This set is made with hand crafted lampwork glass beads, some with pink swirls and some with raised floral patterns (even better in real life!). The rest of the lampwork beads are pink. There are also some silver coloured metal Bali-like spacer beads to finish. The seed beads used are clear teal. All mounted on […]
Ming Tea 22″ Necklace and 7 1/2″ braclet take on an ancient age using two imported 900 year old Ming pottery shards delicately framed as the focal beads. I also make 2,000 year old coin jewelry, so found it a treat to find out about the ancient Chinese Ming pottery shards from a artisan friend, […]
This 5 1/2″ stretch bracelet will fit most children (although I do not recommend it for children under the age of 5 years) or a small adult wrist. It is double standed with stretch cord and made with antiqued silver Swarovski amber charms, glass amber and gold seed beads, clear round glass beads with amber/gold […]
I took the softest black suede cord, approx. 72 inches and after each knot I would string a freshwater pearl that was hand-wrapped with fine silver. I would repeat this pattern randomly to the end of the cord. Then I would double wrap and sometimes triple wrap making it a multi-stranded necklace. I finished it […]
I made this for my sis who loves the combination of turquoise and brown. This is my first beading project and she loved it. I used strechy cord and a collection of assorted beads from Darice for this. I secured the cord with two knots and an overhand knot. I used Hypo cement to secure […]
This multi-strand bracelet is made of glowing opal beads of different shapes. Each strand is on a stretchy cord. I decided to unite the strands by triangle hoop and finish the bracelet with a charm made of large polygonal opal bead and couple of crystal clear AB Swarovski bicones.
There wasn’t any technique or skill required to make this necklace, but I think it is a great use for this type of double drilled bead. Just a single bead, large enough to make a statement strung from genuine leather cords. The honey yellow shade of the bead jumps off from the black cords.
I found this brown brand resin pendant on a shopping trip and couldn’t wait to use it. I love working with earth tones and this pendant gave me the perfect opportunity to mix it up! I used a one leather cord, green and gold glass beads, brown branch resin pendant, a small flower charm and […]
