I love wire work. I created this piece from leftover bits and pieces I had here and there: washers from my husband’s shed, buttons from my needlework box, charms from previous projects.
I first created the base by making a loop and wrapping the loop on a metal washer and making another loop on the other side.
I then made the same one with a metal barrel shaped bead and connected the loops together to make a chain.
I continued this for the length of the bracelet. Then, I wrapped individual charms, buttons, rubber washers, wire and whatever I had on my hands to the washers on the base bracelet with the same kind of wire loops. I also added a bead charm on the rubber washer just to add interest.
I chose to have about 4 charms on each washer and two on the loop of the base bracelet. How you do this depends on how heavy you want your bracelet and the look you are going for. You can also create this bracelet and give it a classic, gothic, or antique look by using a different type of metal.
