Pink Daisies Anklet | The creator of this piece says: I created this piece a few months ago, but it was only half-finished. I knew I wanted to make an anklet from the daisy chainmail weave. It's just so beautiful that I knew it would look great on an ankle.
After using my 16 gauge sterling silver, I got the basic length of the anklet, but it just sat. I wasn't sure how I wanted to finish it. Finally, it hit me. I pulled out some 4mm Swarovski fuchsia cubes that I had and attached them to the rings with my fine silver headpins.
It turned out absolutely wonderfully. Better than I had imagined when I first started working on it. Funny how things work out that way. |
About the Artist: Heather DonahueI've been making jewelry off and on for a few years, but definitely been on the past couple of years. I enjoy learning as much as I can. Right now, I'm completely addicted to working with metal. Mostly chainmail, but I'm moving into metalsmithing as well. View Heather Donahue's website at Erin Lilies - Handcrafted Artisan Designs.
