This necklace was created using the Wire Wizard Deluxe Jig using a non-tarnish brass wire. A jig is a board with pegs in it that is useful for bending wire into specific shapes that can easily be replicated. They can be made out of wood or metal. Corrine’s jigs use metal pegs that you can […]
This piece was made as a commission for a colleague’s mother – the brief was that she has a young and carefree spirit and loves greens and browns. Materials include antique brass Vintaj pieces, unakite, moonstone, Czech and Indian glass and Swarovksi crystals and pearls, all combined with a gorgeous antique brass chain.
I made this necklace using ceramic focal beads from Earthenwood Studios. The light blues and yellows look amazing with the Vintaj brass. I made a simple chain using faceted chalcedony, and small blue ceramic rounds. I just simply strung the beads on looped wire, attaching them all together with jump-rings. I threw in a few […]
This necklace was inspired by a piece I saw of someone whose work I admire. I wanted to see if I could render something like it but in my own style. I love the boldness of the 20mm round mosaic turquoise beads and the contrast that the antiqued brass leaf motif beads caps provided against […]
This necklace was made with all recycled vintage materials. I began making jewelry out of my Mom’s pieces after she passed, as gifts for family. Now I collect vintage pieces for my designs. This necklace consists of vintage glass beads with copper and brass components and chain. I love creating jewelry that’s is good for […]
For this necklace I wanted to do something in a more contemporary “boho chic” style with bright colors, so I combined an orange aventurine donut with turquoise blue Czech picasso beads and a pair of tumbled aventurine nuggets. To add to the chunky look and feel I used a heavy chain with large links. All […]
This necklace was inspired by my love of the ocean. Abalone shell pendant with small brass seahorse charm adorns the front. I also used various colored fresh water pearls, and Czech glass beads and then metallic blue/purple seed beads up and around the back of the necklace where it ends at a brass swirl clasp.
I used a variety of ceramic beads, ornate brass spacer beads and toggle clasp. They were strung on strong bead wire to hold the weight. I found the beads in 3 different bead stores over the course of several months. I was inspired by the painting “Irises” by Van Gogh that I had the great […]
I made this Seahorse necklace for a contest in the Netherlands with a Fantasty theme. Its partly beaded on stiff stuff, with ultra-suede on the back. I used a lot of miuyki rocailles in different sizes, vintage brass flowers and freshwaterpearls. On the left side are the waves of the water, the right side are […]
This was my very first attempt at hand knotting beads. I was so nervous but had to try it. I loved the beautiful contrast that the color salmon has against turquoise. So, with this piece, I hand knotted polished round volcano cherry quartz agate & a stabilized oval turquoise bead on white nylon/silk thread for […]
This has been a work in progress for a while – the links and pendant were a natural pairing – the strung portion took a while of thinking to find the right solution. The circles are brushed aged brass, and the transparent pendant bead and matching nugget beads are raku glass. The strung portion is […]
This necklace is mainly made from aventurine chips and dark and light 8mm round aventurine beads strung on wire and connected with simple wire loops. I completed the necklace with fine triple copper link chain and a brass lobster claw. The triple strands overlaps naturally when worn.
This necklace was inspired by the Suge Avery character from the movie, “The Color Purple”. It is made up of several layers of deeply etched brass tubes which reflect the troubled layers her character possessed. The faceted crystal stones, potato pearls, mother of pearl shell beads and amethyst chips creates a halo that enhances the […]
My love for all things royal and majestic is never ending. When I receive a handmade pendant, something just runs through me and the feeling is heightened even more when I find the complimenting beads to uplift the pendant. The Krishna necklace is constructed on softflex wire for flexibility. I wanted something that would add […]
This necklace combines the colours of brass, cream and amethyst. For the chainmail part I used 8mm rings, putting some 6/0 seedbeads on them before closing them. On the bottom of the focal I worked with the seam measure rings. For the connection with the chain I kettled some Swarovski and other beads between the […]
I have used a buttercup yellow rose and wire wrapped it along with some beige / latte coloured glass pearls. A little brass key and a flower also dangle from an antique brass hoop to complete the charms. I used antique brass cable chain and a heart lobster clasp to secure. I was inspired by […]
This piece is made with antique brass, amazonite, smoky quartz and pearls. Blue and brown make a nice color combo, and amazonite and smoky quartz are two of my favorite gemstones, so I figured the two stones would look great in a necklace with a little bit of white thrown in somewhere. I took a […]
The centerpieces of this necklace are Tazwood cherry burl cabochons with subtle inlays of turquoise. They inspired me to create Autumn Splendor. I first beaded around the cabochons, and then with a netting technique and embroidery, blended two sizes of wooden round beads, six colors of seed beads in three different sizes, as well as […]
I love anything Egyptian. Some of the pieces I design will have a hint or full inspiration of this beautiful civilization. This bib-style necklace took just a little time to make as I did the measurements freehand. I wanted it to lay gradually with the focal point being the etched brass pendants with matte gold […]
