This necklace was inspired by a piece I saw of someone whose work I admire. I wanted to see if I could render something like it but in my own style. I love the boldness of the 20mm round mosaic turquoise beads and the contrast that the antiqued brass leaf motif beads caps provided against them. It was fun to string this necklace with these components and add fluidity to this piece with the 3mm antique beads as the spacer.
The only thing I needed to add to this piece to set it off as either a necklace to wear to the front, back or side was a very large 40mm leaf clasp and two corrugated brass beads to highlight the clasp and provide an interesting texture to a necklace that already has textural and cultural beauty.
