Jewelry Ideas Using Copper, Page 4
Copper Wire Spiral Necklace
The ideas for this set came to me in piece meal. It took longer to decide what to do next than it did to actually make it. The beads in this set are Crazy Horse (which I love), and Natural New Jade for accent beads. The wire is copper. All parts, (except for the beads), […]
Emerald Pearl And Torched Copper Necklace
This necklace is really easy to make. On beading wire I strung alternating emerald potato pearls with black seed beads. On each end I used a split ring and on one side is chain for adjustable length and on the other side is a hand made clasp using 20g silver wire. For the pendant I […]
Salmon Coral White Shell Necklace
I have wire wrapped this vintage style necklace with 5 mm round salmon bamboo coral beads and 8 mm round white shell beads into three strands using copper eye pins. One of the strands overlaps the other two strands. I finished it with a brass lobster claw. The length of the necklace is 18 inches.
Shaggy Agate Chain Mail Necklace
Shaggy loops chainmaille weave in copper comprise the chain, while a stunning 28mm Agate is the centerpiece for this necklace. Approx. 16″ in length.
Three-strand necklace with stone pendant
The strands consist of copper-tone and magenta seed beads, turquoise beads, silver spacers, E-beads, and my favorite green triangular beads. I approached this necklace like I sometimes approach a quilt project–what “scraps” do I have sitting around?
Goddess Pendant Necklace
This 21″ necklace is made using 16ga copper wire, some really nice matte glass beads, and some African trade beads from Ghana. The 4″ bone goddess hangs between two fluted brass beads. I like this necklace for it’s “earthy” feel. The African trade beads were acquired at a flea market where I came upon a […]
Vintage Garden Necklace
Antiqued gold cable chain and textured rings, amazonite faceted nuggets, bronze potato pearls and aged brass wire are wirewrapped together to form this necklace. An aged brass leaf charm, a turquoise Czech fluted flower with a Picasso finish, and a copper Swarovski crystal bicone dangle from the main ring. I formed and hammered brass wire […]
Long Black Brown Gemstone And Copper Necklace
This long sturdy necklace is very easy to make. It is the beauty off the beads that makes it. I put small onyx beads, long tube red jasper beads, golden brown rectangular mother of pearl beads, small dark orange carneol beads, golden brown freshwater pearls and a lot of red copper rings together on just […]
Aquamarine Morning And Amethyst Night
One early spring day I was so inspired by the sky that I decided to recreate this picture. I felt like I was working on a painting… First, I made the base for the necklace, using seed and bugle beads. Then, I made two-layered and three-dimensional blossoming full flowers, also using seed beads and bugle […]
Primitive Treasure Necklace
I enjoy working with a mixed media–this particular piece is an example of that. A woven waxed cord with 28 of my wire wrapped lampwork beads, each with a malachite bead on each pin. I’ve ended the woven work inside 2 domed lampwork caps. Soldered sterling silver rings hold my handmade centrepiece of textured copper […]
Blue Rain Necklace
I’ve created this necklace using African cream disk trade beads, cream coral beads, and West African lost wax brass beads (basket shape). To add color to this piece I’ve added blue turquoise beads and antique gold Bali style spacers. Completing the necklace is a 22mm oxidized copper ring as the toggle clasp. This necklace measures […]
Horn, Wood & Glass Bead Necklace
The necklace is handcrafted from horn, wood beads, tiger’s eye beads, crazy lace agate beads, glass beads, silk cord, and is finished with a copper hook and eye clasp. It makes a bold statement and is approximately 26 inches long.
Copper Green Banded Bracelet
This bracelet features my own handmade lampwork beads, sterling silver, and fluted Czech glass beads. I made the beads by creating a round ivory colored base, added a copper green stripe, then a black stripe. The beads were annealed in a kiln and then cleaned. Finally I soaked the beads in an acid etching solution […]
