Cranberry Necklace Project

Cranberry Necklace

This necklace consists of silver plated wire in two sizes and red glass Jablonec pearls. The thinner size wire is wrapped and interwoven with the larger wire and was used to attach the pearls and create the Viking-style weave at the back of the necklace.

Red Coral Double Strand Bracelet Project

Red Coral Double Strand Bracelet

I primarily used red coral chips in this bracelet. I made two strands of them and interspersed two silver color beads. I finished it with a barrel clasp. When I saw these beads in the craft shop I couldn’t resist.

My Mementos Bracelet Project

My Mementos Bracelet

This bracelet was fun to make. I received some porcelain beads for Christmas in this Red, Black and White color theme. I dug through my supplies and found many of the little treasures that I put into this piece. I took 3 12″ strands of leather cord, and knotted them around the silver lobster clasp […]

This has almost a full troy ounce of 20 gauge square sterling silver wire. It is wrapped with 20 gauge 1/2 round wire. The sterling silver is graced with a carved carnelian fan and tiny Hilltribe silver beads. The inspiration for this piece was the beautiful wrap around torque necklaces in medieval times. (Ed note: […]

Red Double Dash Bracelet Project

Red Double Dash Bracelet

I started with the square Bali sterling silver beads and loved their exotic look. I paired them up with the red coral 6mm rounds and some additional sterling silver spacers that gave the bracelet a strong yet elegant look. I finished it off with a sterling silver toggle clasp. I used soft flex wire and […]

Red Glass Autumn Necklace Project

Red Glass Autumn Necklace

First, I made these round beads from off cuts glass. Due to unknown C.O.E. of the glass I couldn’t mix any other colors on the beads hence I made the disc beads to add interest to my piece. I strung some citrine chips on small waxed linen thread in different length with small knots on […]

Black And Red Sixties Choker Project

Black And Red Sixties Choker

I Love You Red Coral Drop Earrings Project

I Love You Red Coral Drop Earrings

My “I love you” earrings are inspired by love. A great pair of earrings made of natural coral quartz briolettes, wire wrapped in sterling silver. To make these, first gather two gemstone beads, some sterling silver 20 gauge dead soft wire, and two ear wires. Next, make a loop in the wire and start wrapping […]

Bedrock Bracelet Project

Bedrock Bracelet

Having bought a bundle of wonderful bright and somewhat crazy colored lamp work nuggets from blueseraphim (on Etsy), I decided that red coral chips and a bali silver toggle with red tigertail might be a great balance to show off the unusual shapes – I am very happy with the simplicity of the bracelet and […]

Druid Necklace Project

Druid Necklace

I just loved these beads, they were made by Caron at halo beads. The colours just lent themselves to be blended with black seed beads and some multi-faceted beads, to add a bit more sparkle. The little diamonte heart clasp just finished it off nicely. This is quite long and I did take it apart […]

Ring Of Fire Necklace Project

Ring Of Fire Necklace

This necklace was a challenge to make! I wanted to incorporate strands of cord in with the beads and was unsure how to fasten them all together neatly. I ended up using a 26 gauge wire to bind the cords together, then I stitched seed beads over the wire with thread so the wire wouldn’t […]

Ruby Meets Soo Chow Jade Necklace Project

Ruby Meets Soo Chow Jade Necklace

This set was created with carved Soo Chow jade, Swarovski crystals, black twisted glass beads and the focal piece is a stunning sterling pendant of genuine ruby with zoisite. Initially the pendant was very difficult to match but the Jade proved successful in color-tone and texture. When it finally came together, I was so delighted […]

Pink Shell And Crystal Necklace Project

Pink Shell And Crystal Necklace

This piece was created around the pendant. I wrapped the large round pink shell with silver plated wire and threaded the little flower charms through the wire as I wrapped. Since the pendant was large, I went with a longer necklace, using clear crystals, pink jasper, and salmon glass beads with a metallic hue. The […]

Mirror Mirror Fairest Of The All Project

Mirror Mirror Fairest Of The All

This necklace is made using high polished silver chain and rubber coated satin red beads that I wire wrapped using silver hypo wire. I used silver jump rings to secure the beads onto the chain. I used a sivertone toggle clap as the closure for the necklace. The silver and red satin colored beads warms […]

Nuts & Berries Acai Berry And Coconut Earrings Project

Nuts & Berries Acai Berry And Coconut Earrings

I love bold jewelry, not necessarily the big diamond bold jewelry, but more so stones and off beat beads. I took a more eco friendly and modern route with these earrings. The Nuts & Berries earrings took about an 1 1/2 hours to make to ensure the smoothness of the steel wire to hold the […]
